Presets — one choice for where the clip is going

Pick the destination; the model, route, aspect, length and sound follow.

The Preset control on the composer sets everything else in its row for a destination: the aspect the platform shows, the length its viewers sit through, the route that delivers the resolution it can actually display, and sound on. Every control stays live afterwards — move one and the preset reads None again, because the settings are no longer the preset's.

PresetSetsWhy
DraftSeedance 2.0 Mini · 480p, no upscale · your aspect · 4s · silentCheapest render to try a prompt. Re-run the keeper with a real preset.
FilmSeedance 2.5 · 1080p → 4K · 21:9 · 10s · sound onWidescreen for a big screen: rendered at 1080p for real detail, finished at 4K.
YouTube / webSeedance 2.5 · 480p → 4K · 16:9 · 10s · sound on16:9 at 4K by the value route, ten seconds.
TikTok / Reels / ShortsSeedance 2.5 · 480p → 4K · 9:16 · 8s · sound on9:16, eight seconds. Finished at 4K so it stays sharp after the platform compresses it to 1080p.
Square feedSeedance 2.5 · 480p → 4K · 1:1 · 6s · sound on1:1 for Instagram, X and LinkedIn feeds, six seconds.
Ad spotSeedance 2.5 · 1080p → 4K · 9:16 · 6s · sound onSix seconds, vertical, sound on, rendered at 1080p: a clip that has to stop a thumb.

Most presets render at 480p and finish at 4K because that delivers more pixels than a native 1080p render for a third of the price. Film and Ad spot pay for the native 1080p render: a cinema-sized screen shows the difference, and an ad has one chance.

On Free, a preset sets the aspect, length and sound; the model and route stay at what Free renders, and the composer says so.
